20 Questions To Ask a Girl

1. Who are your closest friends?

Girls find friendships more important than guys often do, certainly they like to discuss friends more than guys and this will make a good topic builder.

2. How many siblings do you have?

This question is more of an excuse to start or continue a conversation, but is also good for helping build some trust by discussing personal family life, if the conversation leads that way.

3. What is the best vacation that you took?

Ah, happy memories are always good, why not share in the moment?

4. What are your favorite colors and why?

Be prepared that if you are a guy asking this question, you might have no idea what the color is. Girls seem to see a lot more colors than boys do. You say it is green, she says it is Kermit green. (I didn’t just make that up)

5. What about your pet peeves?

Sometimes giving somebody an opportunity to complain about something is great, especially if you hate it too, but remember not to chime in with your own pet peeves and be a good listener.

6. What do you do in your free time?

A pretty general question, good topic builder and “get-to-know-you” type question.

7. How often do you go out, where do you like to go?

This is similar to the above question, but with the added chance of making more plans together!

8. What is your clearest childhood memory?

I once read that questions like this are great for building rapport, anything that brings up happy childhood memories is great for making a positive connection with somebody.

9. If you could wake up anywhere tomorrow, where would it be?

This is another great question for building rapport, it also brings out the whimsical side in the girl (and is a nice question to be asked too).

10. What is your favorite food?

You better Google how to cook it and get practicing!

11. Tell me about your most embarrassing moment.

Not exactly a “happy” childhood memory , but it is good for building trust, and getting laughter into the conversation, be prepared to have to give up one of your embarrassing moments in exchange though.

12. When upset, what do you usually do to feel better?

I like this question for several reasons. 1.) It gives you future knowledge on how to cheer her up. 2.) It associates comforting herself with you. 3.) It shows a more sensitive side to you.

13. What are your life goals?

This is a good one to ask anybody that you want to get to know better, regardless of who they are.

14. What were you like when you were a kid?

This is just a fun question!

15. What last made you laugh?

Let’s laugh some more!

16. Describe your fighting style, drunken master or angry monkey?

This one is a little random, but certainly keeps things interesting. People always like being asked a random question, as long as the timing isn’t terrible.

17. Name a movie or movies you can watch over and over?

Got a pen and paper handy?

18. Do people tell you that you act older, younger, or your age?

Girls don’t usually like to be thought of as younger than they are, so if she asks your opinion, be honest, but don’t say younger.

19. Do you regret anything?

A little bit deeper a question here, but helps build rapport.

20. Name 5 of the most important things in your life?

Not all of these questions need to be ‘fun’ and this one is a good, interesting question
